Another down day for the Nap Clan. All the kids are feeling much better. Woo-hoo. Than is feeling better too. I am feeling super sleep deprived. I’m finding that even when Dresdan is sleeping I’m struggling getting good sleep. I lay awake or dream weird things even though I am exhausted. Not cool sleep, not cool.

Breakfast was a meat, cheese, and fruit tray. Don’t worry this was the kids breakfast not mine. I didn’t eat any cheese. I just wanted to show a picture of a different type of breakfast. The kids loved it and snacked on what was left the rest of the morning. I’m finding that my almond milk latte and a handful of nuts seem to be enough some mornings. I’m not going to eat if I’m not hungry.

Finally getting some activity back in our days. Than and I went for a walk this morning. 2-1/4 miles. Nothing huge just enough to get the blood flowing and some fresh air in the lungs. It was nice.

Lunch was leftover Paleo Chili. I always think chili is better the next day.

Logan and Rowan both had dance this afternoon and since they had been better for a couple days and had gotten some much needed down time, I let them go. While that is all good, the interesting part is that I took a dance class too. It was my first ever tap class. Than took tap all last year but I was too pregnant. Balancing on one leg while swinging the other around dis not seem like a good idea. What a mental picture huh!?! Now we have it worked out that starting next week, we can both start going together.

So tap was a blast. I’m glad that I have paid attention to the girls classes so I could help them learn steps. It really gave me a leg up for a first timer. Even then, it is not easy but is so much fun. When I was doing steps at a slower pace I did fine but speed things up and my brain froze. But don’t you worry, I am going to succeed. It is a great workout. My legs were burning and I was sweating. Can’t wait for next week.

Because I was gone, Than was in charge of dinner prep with all five kids. They all decided on hot dogs and sweet potato fries. Quite yummy but I decided it might be worthwhile to add a big salad.

So has anyone else had sleep craziness like me while on the Whole 30? It is probably has nothing to do with diet and is just me being overtired and never hitting a deep sleep. Moms out there, any suggestions for helping my body get good sleep even when baby isn’t? I want to make the most of the sleep I am getting. It almost seems futile to even go to bed tonight.
