Cooking and baking are a huge part of being a homemaker.  I think I may spend over 1/2 my day in the kitchen.  If only I could train my kids to stop eating, I might get out of there.  Just kidding.  Actually, I have learned to look at this time as a facet of  fulfilling the role the Lord has called me to.  I’m not just cooking and cleaning for my kids and husband but I am doing it for the Lord.  This realization changed the way I view those hours spent in the kitchen.

As I set up this blog, I wanted this part of me to have a place here.  I love sharing my recipes and cooking tips with everyone.  At first I thought I’d share all my recipes here but I have since decided that most of the recipes people ask me for are of the gluten, dairy, and egg free variety.  I realized that there were not many resources on the web for this kind of dietary need.  So I made one.  You can check it out at www.ICookFree.com

I will continue to post some recipes here as I do have favorites that aren’t “free”.  You can find them by clicking on the recipes and/or cooking tips categories on the right side of the page.

May the Lord bless your time in the kitchen and remind you that “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me also.” Matt 25:40b
